Lynda Deakin

Lynda Deakin is a partner and managing director at IDEO. With over 20 years of experience in human centered design, she focuses on driving change in the food and health systems to enable better care and choices for people and the planet. Lynda works across the food and healthcare industries and uses design as a tool to help individuals, organizations, and society establish healthier, more sustainable behaviors. She has spoken on this topic and more at the Danone 100 Years event and the Culinary Institute of America and MIT Media Lab’s ReThink Food conference, and served as a judge for the Basque Culinary World Prize.
Lynda’s empathic approach and charismatic leadership enables clients to address customer and patient desires and tackle a wide variety of challenges, from embracing the circular economy of food and bringing healthcare to the underserved to transforming food at scale and building disruptive new health ventures. Lynda has collaborated with large companies and organizations as well as smaller startups and foundations that are on a mission to reshape the future of food and health, including Revolution Foods, Nestle, The J.M. Smucker Company, Habit, Del Monte Foods, and the Basque Culinary Center.
